Meldrick Taylor is phenomenally overrated. It's about time that was addressed. A victory over a sluggish and hurt McGirt... and a succession of beatdowns by more talented fighters. Fighters, mind you, not boxers.

I feel sorry for the guy but people need to get correct.

Taylor was too easy to hit and Tszyu punched harder than Chavez.

Mayweather said he toyed with Randall when he sparred with him and he was only 19! I also feel in a real bout Floyd would have more trouble with Tzyu than he would of with Taylor because Meldrick wouldn`t be able to keep Floyd as cagey as Tzyu would of because Meldrick didn`t punch even nearly as hard.

Meldrick had amazing hand speed and reflexes at light welter, his combo`s and counters were second to none but he used to stand in front of foes after punching and became really easy to hit, I feel he had potential but no fight IQ, Norris and Espana were just too big for Meldrick he was never a real welter or light middle.

Whitaker got hit a lot less than Randall when he fought Chavez I don`t feel Randall would have been evasive enough to fight a sharp clever power puncher like Tyzu.

Chavez never threw a punch that had the effect that Tyzu`s punch did on Zab`s legs, that was power.

I see Tszyu finding Randall late with the rt hand.
Mel was a beautiful fighter up until he lost to Chavez. That Mel has a good chance of outboxing Tszyu. If he stands and gets in a war he won't survive Tszyu's rt hand. Tszyu has much more one punch power than JCC

Power aside, Chavez was better than Tszyu at literally everything else. Tszyu's power alone might not get it done against Mel considering he was less tough than Chavez, with far less stamina, and easier to hit. Yes, easier to hit. Prime Chavez had a much better defense than Tszyu.

All valid points. I'm just saying if Mel gets carried away and starts trading bombs with Tszyu he's gonna get caught. I agree JCC probably does do everything better than Tszyu but for one punch KO power I got Tszyu

Yes, Tszyu was definitely a bigger puncher than Chavez. No one can dispute that.
