Very interesting match up. I think Pryor would wear him down and stop him eventually. Taylor certainly wouldn't enjoy the same success he did against Chavez in the early rounds. Pryor would be on him non-stop.
great match-up i see pryor winning by stoppage after the 10th but pryor would go down taylor would catch him off balance
Pryor in a tremendously entertaining fight, for however long it lasted. Taylor's handspeed and aggressiveness means he could land his share of punches but Pryor was just a tornado in the ring. He'd be pressuring Taylor from the first second with fast, powerful shots. I think Meldrick would hold his own over the first 5 rounds or so, without necessarily doing enough to win them, before Pryor's relentless attack begins to wear him down. Pryor by tko, between rounds 8-10.
It would be Hawk time... To beat Pryor in his prime, an opponent would need great skills, speed and also immense physical toughness, an iron chin and iron body. Taylor only had the skill/speed category.
