I still would like SJS to explain why anybody would pick Rios before the Abril fight? Taylor was just a TINYYYY bit better than Miguel Acosta. Just a TAD.
There's alot of tards here. There was one thread where a bloke was saying to me Rios has skills, he can reign at 135lbs or 140 for as long as he wants too. atsch The point I was making is that alot of guys here hop on and off of band waggons. Rios was heir to the LW throne, now he's a bum. Donaire was one of the best ever after he KO'd Montiel, but when he won a boring fight with Navarez he was over hyped, Etc.
Poor fella not only lost his title on the scales, he finds no other opponent but a retired, old and washed up former welterweight. Damn, you gatta be unlucky!!!
Rios told Lampley in the fighters meeting for the Murray fight that he had almost 400 AM fights and lost about 100 of them. Taylor would kick his ass.
Meldrick has cemented his name in the Annals of Boxing as an Absolute Legend - and you will never find a bigger heart than Meldrick's. Rios is a Punk. Aspiring Mexican boxers often tell their parents, "When I grow up, I want to be as brave as Meldrick!"
