No, I thought it was outrageous 20 years ago when I saw the fight live, and I still think so. Steele was in King's pocket, and Chavez was a King fighter. He stole Taylor's victory from him with probably the most outrageous stoppage I've ever seen.

    For the 123,456,734,567,845,678,909,876..time!

    It was FAIR!!!!

Chavez won, because he stopped Taylor within the 36 minutes of the fight!

Mosley KO a game Mayorga with 1 second to go.

Chavez had atleast 2 seconds to KILL Taylor.

I completely agree with you. Bottom line is that Taylor did not respond. You guys are making it seem like Steele just waved it off. NO, he asked Taylor and looked him right in the eye, but Taylor did not respond. Therefore he was beaten within the allowed fight time.

Also, if Taylor would have won, the rematch would have happen immediately, not a few years later. And the outcome for taylor would have been the same, if not worse.

    Taylor in post fight Interview:

"He (Steele) didn't say anything to me, he didn't say are you okay..count, he didn't give me any direction"

    :rofl Taylor was KTFO indeed!!

Been done to death. Good stoppage.

Even if it was questionable (which it isn't), Mosley-Mayorga kills any silly arguements against it.
