A prime pre-chavez Taylor is too talented for Cotton. Although cotton at 140 had game changing power and Taylor was a sucker for going to war, I don't see Cotton giving Taylor any problems.

I see a dominant UD for Taylor.

Idk, Taylor is so easy to hit, and I hate to point out a huge problem meldy had, but dude was way too stiff when in with talent. I don't see him as being any better than what we get, few exciting fights and boom, lights out.

I think cotto really would had been much too big and too strong. Cotto lost mad rankings for losing to marg (NO EXCUSE) and for letting Arum pimp the **** out of him to build pacs name..

He took a cotto who just lost his tRainer, they were already to move to 54 for his next fight. Scumbag Arum bought him off, made him come down to 45 (can't make 47, how bout 45) and who needs a trainer, just lose weight. You know what's up.

Him and his large buddy took the 10m for 45 and 5mil for training expenses. That's the worst POS man ever, pathetic

Just to add, notice how many top tier fighters best buds are many times obese mofo's, I mean you can workout DAILY, as part of your career. How the **** aren't you beach ready 24/7/365 ??? There's NO excuse for that BS either

Meld rick Taylor at his best would beat Cotto. Speed and timing always troubled Cotto. See the Mosley, Judah, Pacquaio, and even paulie fights for evidence of that.

It took the great Chavez full 12 hard rounds to stop Taylor and JCC is 3 times better then Cotto. Cotto won't even come close to beating Taylor especially that he has stamina trouble and was sort green!

Cotto by decision, people forget how versatile Cotto is, he would begin to time meldrick coming forward like he did with mosley and circle him all night, it would be competitive but Cotto's power keeps meldrick honest and wins over 12, meldrick is no pac man and wouldn't do as much damage to cotto so the speed wouldn't count for much if he cant make it effective

I like Cotto , Hes a true warrior and honestly how can you not be a fan of his ? He never ducked anyone and always goes for the Knockout .

    But that's cute .

On Cottos best night at 140 , He still wont come close to beating Taylor .

Might be competitive but absolutely will come up short .

The durable, titamium chinned Chavez took 12 rounds of back and forth slugging with Taylor. I doubt the FRAGILE Cotto would even make it to the 12th round let alone beat Taylor.

I see Cotto taking a knee, or the ref stopping the fight after Cotto gets his face rearranged.

At his best , Taylor had way too much for Cotto

People mentioning JCC , he would batter Cotto - think Tony Mag x 10

Taylor and fairly easily too. Hell, I might even pick a prime Hatton over Cotto at 140.

Miguel is the most overrated fighter of the last decade IMO.

If Miguel is overrated, so is Canelo, GGG, Spence, Crawford, and Charlo

He isnt overrated but his track record against slick quick fighters arent that good man. And Meldrick Taylor in his prime and at 140 pounds is one of the quickest and slickest fighters ever. That said i still think Taylor would beat Cotto at 147.
