Oscar by knockout. Bad matchup for Meldrick.

I'd say Oscar was every bit as good during the latter portion of his run at 140 as he was at 147, and even more physically imposing.

Yeah, Taylor was good, but he does get overrated imo based on what 'he could have been', which is ridiculous to me because he had a full career that just wasnt as sucessful as other elite fighers, period.

Gotta go with Oscar. Just too well rounded, too many physical advantages (speed notwithstanding),and was much more proven over the course of his career.

Meldrick is small compared to Oscar really. He has short arms and not much pop in his punches.

    Oscar eats Taylor for lunch.

Oscar bleeds a few rounds but ultimately scores the knockout.

Oscar was a big and bad JrWW. I think he'd eventually stop Taylor. But not without a fight.

Just watched both videos and Oscar looks noticably faster.

Taylor was slightly faster but wilder.
I'll put my money on Oscar's straighter shots and power.

To put it in perspective, it'd be about the same size difference as Khan vs Zab Judah.

Taylor is MUCH faster and a better boxer with better defense (despite his fight with JCC). Somebody said Oscar is under rated and and Taylor is over but Oscar is rated about right and Taylor is underrated! Oscar usually beat people with is speed wore them down then got the KO (if possible). But with Meldrick's faster hands he would e force to counterpunch (more than he is use to) which he has never been forced to do before. Bad natch-up for the golden boy Taylor by a close (2-3 points) but very clear decision.
