Meldrick just might outwork Floyd, but history has proven that when Floyd feels cornered or he feels he might lose he puts up a fight. Floyd by SD or MD in that fight. Pre-JCC Taylor of course.
It's tough to say because the Fraud usually ducks fighters until he sees that they have slowed down or been in a few wars before entering the ring with them. Having said that, I am confident that the Meldrick Taylor (MT) that fought Chavez would have outworked and out-boxed the Fraudster. MT was not a stationary target, and I don't believe the Fraudster would have had the intestinal fortitude to press the fight once he knew that MT wasn't going to stand toe-to-toe. MT, IMO, had faster hand speed and his footwork was better than the Fraudster's. Once MT realized that the Fraudster was not a big puncher, he would brawl and box at his leisure, and probably cruise to a UD. The Fraudster's 15 punches per round, coupled with his 30-50 clinches in a round is not going to beat a boxer of MT's caliber. MT's boxing ability was a thing of beauty when he used it. The Fraudster has shown that he can be beaten by brawlers/boxers (Castillo I and Maidana I). We still don't know how he would handle a better boxer than him.
