I loved Mayweather but Taylor was better. He was much busier. He'd outwork Roger for a decision.

I see it the same. Prime Taylor has ridiculous hand speed and would be a handful for anyone.

Mayweather hit very hard and was a pretty sharp boxer at jr.welter.
He beat the hell out of Vinny Paz who was tough and even dropped him.
He beat Brazier who was a soild fighter and even shook Brazier.
He gave Chavez the second time around a very good fight.
I think Taylor looks to exchange way too much and if Rogers right-hand comes into play Taylor is going to have problems.
Taylor would have to avoid exchanges which I do not think he could help himself.

Could Taylor knock Roger out given Roger was chinny?

It would have been interesting to see Meldrick Taylor vs Roger Mayweather while they were both champs at 1988. Fun grueling battle but one that I see Taylor getting the better of Mayweather in the end. Taylor likely stops Roger late in a war.

I don't think so. Roger did not seem to have severe chin problems at Jr welterweight and Taylor was not a puncher.
However Taylor could potentially overwhelm Roger which could lead to a stoppage.
The problem for Taylor is Roger had an absolute cannon for a right-hand and if it connects Taylor is in trouble.

Would of been an interesting one I would of liked to have seen. I can see the arguments for both.
