Saw this dude fight a few times back in the 90's, most memorably in losing efforts to Carl Williams and Tony Tubbs. He also appeared and competed in one of the earlier UFC tournaments.. Decent fighter with a good punch and fun to watch, but probably never elevated much beyond club fighter status.. Still he retired with a respectable record of 35-9-0-28, which isn't too bad. Anyone remember him?

I saw one of his early fights on TV. I think the main event had ended early or something, so they televised Bowen. Thought he looked impressive, but didn't rise to the level I had expected.

He was a decent prospect until his Achilles heel - one of the weakest chins seen in the HW division - was exposed.

The guy could not absorb punishment.

A glass cannon for sure but he was always in super exciting bouts for as long as they lasted... I recall he was all swollen up like a muscle bound bodybuilder and looking at the era he was a part of I would not be surprised if he was pharmaceutically enhanced like Morrison.

Also his brawl with Carl Williams is a real fun and rough scrap. I have a copy of that somewhere.
