5/27 in Indio, California on the undercard of Rocha vs Young card. WBO strawweight fight between Melvin Jerusalem, who recently won the belt just four months ago in Japan with a nice KO victory over Taniguchi and Collazo, a great up and coming prospect. This is the only other title fight this week which isn't taking place in Britain, but I think this one has the potential to be the most exciting fight of the week. On a side note, it really feels like we are entering a new era at 105 pounds with guys like Collazo, the Shigeoka bros and even Erick Rosa, all young fighters who have the chance to dethrone the more experienced champions at the weight. Anyways, who are you guys picking?
I've been a Jerusalem fan since his close loss to the then undefeated Moonsri. I'm not sure how well MJ will handle a southpaw opponent but I will be rooting for him.
With this fight taking place in the US (promoted by Goldenboy I think?) and Erick Rosa vs CP Freshmart being bid on by PBC last I heard, are US promoters investing more in Strawweight?
