Gatti was put in for being simply the most entertaining boxing of all time. He wasn't the best boxer but I do think he was the best fighter.

Not the best resume by any means but a pretty good run when he was MW champ when he beat Tate, Starling, Barkley, Curry (HOFer), and also knocking out Kalambay in one round (the guy who outboxed an unbeaten Mike McCallum). He also gave James Toney (HOFer) a really tough fight before he got stopped. Also became WBA champ at 168 when he beat Victor Cordoba.

Hernandez probably is. But, he's already on the ballot. There are flush years, and there are lean years. Getting on the ballot is half the battle.

But not as popular. The BHOF is a popularity contest as well as a talent contest and Gatti was a big fan favorite.
Hell Ryan Garcia is probably Hall worthy right now!

I think the Moises Fuentes fight was my worst night as a boxing fan, excluding maimings.

Forgive me for the poorly structured sentence. This was what I meant to say.

I personally would've had Jorge Acre on there.

Ppl moaning about Hatton ffs.. the guy was a beast in his hay day.. his career was a fkin ball to follow.. & he had the stones to fight everybody anywhere unlike these entitled privileged overrated ****wits we have today... more fighters should be like Hatton.. his resumes good too.. went on a solid tear.. Magee, Phillips, Tackie, Oliveira, Tszyu , Mausa, Collazo, Urango, Castillo, Malinaggi... only losing (during this period) to ATG Floyd at WW.. not his weight class.. if Gattis in then Hatton should be a shoe in...

Not a strong class but it’s nice to see Moorer get in. The first and only (until February) southpaw lineal HW champion in boxing history.

Correct, the inductees are chosen by members of the Boxing Writers Association of America.

Former Light-Heavyweight champion that became the first southpaw heavyweight champion by beating Holyfield, lost to Foreman and regained the heavyweight. title. He beat multiple top ten heavyweights over a decade at heavyweight which is something the other small group of 175's that moved up didn't do. I agree that he wasn't great but there is no denying that he was very good and dangerous fighter that is getting in because this happens to be a light year for eligibility.

Weak AF this year but I've been unsatisfied with the IBHOF for a long while now
