    i will mention my choices.
1_ THE ABSURD MYTH "MARCIANO HAD A BETTER CHIN THAN JOE FRAZIER"
this thread is inspirated by the recent debate frazier vs marciano. WHEN THE ****ING HELL PROVED MARCIANOthat he had A BETTER CHIN THAN JOE FRAZIER?. some people support this argument with the fact that frazier got knocked down by oscar bonavena and 6 times by george foreman, but actually it proved that frazier had a great chin,a knock down is not a knock out,(ALI AND HOLMES GOT DROPPED SEVERAL TIMES AND THEY HAD A MORE ELUSIVE STYLE AND EVERYBODY KNOW THAT THEY HAD GREAT CHIN) george foreman finished norton, ron lyle, gerry cooney.. AND TONS OF GUYS with much less shots than he landed against frazier, and joe just knew a single way to fight, he was constantly going toe to toe with foreman, this one is another factor to think that he had a great chin.and foreman never kept joe in the floor, frazier got up every time that he got knocked down, he lost the balance and he was hurt(every person in the planet would get hurt by george foreman) but he never knocked out Joe. frazier smashed every guy who weighed less than 200 pounds, marciano struggled and GOT knocked knocked dOwn by guys who weighed less than 200 pounds like a 38 years old walcott(this guy never was the big puncher that many fans pretend to show, accurate banger but never in the league of huge punchers and he had supect chin, he got knocked ouy by average fighters) and a 40 years old fragile archie moore, joe frazier simply smashed bob foster and his shots made no effect on joe(BOB FOSTER DID HIT HARDER THAN MOORE). oscar bonavena is considered one of the strongest hw in the history, this guy was 5´10 but built like granite, compact, thick frame, and he did hit pretty hard, actually he had better ko% than walcott, oscar fought at hw during all his career(walcott not) and still oscar had better ko record with 58 wins(44kos), walcott had 51(32), and of course bonavena was miles tougher than walcott he was stopped just once in his career and you know... by muhammad ali in the round 15... walcott got stopped by nobodies like tiger jak fox, ettore or a big bum like abe simmos. plus the trainer charlie goldman said that bonavena did hit harder than marciano , right?(i know , i know... some people take the testimonies seriously just when this one support his favourite fighter). i AM PRETTY SURE THAT BONAVENA COULD HURT AND DROP MARCIANO FOR SURE, AND GEORGE FOREMAN WOULD FINISH MARCIANO EARLY AND EASILY. BUT I CAN´T SEE A 40 YEARS OLD ARCHIE MOORE KNOCKING DOWN FRAZIER ,in few words, marciano never proved that he had a better chin than frazier and some fans did attribute this merit to him based on absolutely nothing
2_"SONNY LISTON DID HIT AS HARD AS GEORGE FOREMAN AND HE WAS AS STRONG "
Well... just lauhable... George Foreman had a much longer career and even in his 40s he destroyed young and top guys AND REAL HWS AND HUGE BANGERS LIKE MORRISON RAN FROM HIM , George Foreman looked a killer against full sized hws, not against 188 pounders like floyd paterson, George Foreman was bigger than liston, liston in shape weighed 208-212 pounds , he was out od shape above 218 pounds,George Foreman AT 18 IN THE AMATEURS was in perfect shape at 229 pounds, he did carry 225-230 without problems. George Foreman proved his power and strength against very strong guys like ken norton, joe frazier, ron lyle, tommy morrison, evander holyfield, shannon briggs(even at 47).and all these guys sai that Foreman was a monster,Liston was a strong guy but he never did show this level of superiority(foreman level against strong men and natural hws), Liston proved it against small guys, can you imagine foreman vs patterson? i am pretty sure that all you can imagine this fight lasting 30 seconds, but NO WAY IN THE HELL!!! LISTON VS FRAZIER WOULD HAVE BEEN THAT EASY.Frazier was as heavy as liston prime vs prime, joe weighed 209 vs foster and joe was in his peak shape here. Cleveland Williams was the strongest man that liston did beat and williams was 6´3 and 210 pounds, the chin of williams never was better than norton´S,norton got knocked out by garcia and cleveland got knocked out by satterfield. and ken norton was better fighter than williams for sure, more skilled and he was even stronger physically and heavier too, George Foreman looked much more destructive against norton than liston did against williams. AND THE MOST FUNNY THING IS THE "TESTIMONY" OF CHUCK WEPNER SAYING THAT LISTON DID HIT HARDER THAN FOREMAN. THE CURIOUS THING IS THAT A VERY GREEN FOREMAN(3-0 IN 1969) STOPPED HIM IN 3 ROUNDS AND WEPNER LASTED 9 ROUNDS WITH LISTON AND HE GOT STOPPED BY CUTS, SO THIS "TESTIMONY" IS VERY CREDIBLE . Funny because some fans decide to believe the testimonies selectively, if they like marciano they don´t believe that goldman said about bonavena hitting harder than rocky , if they like liston they believe chuck wepner when he said that liston did hit harder than foreman.
George Foreman faced bigger, better, stronger men than liston did and he proved his strength and power against full sized hws, not against small guys , 188 pounders. guys like holyfield tested the power of top guys like tyson, lewis, bowe, tua (sparring) and he said that george was the most powerful, tommy morrison said in a interview that he changed his style against foreman because he could not trade blows with a guy who was that big and did hit that hard(this man knocked ruddock the **** out).
THE %KO OF GEORGE WAS MUCH BETTER THAN LISTON´S AND FOREMAN FACED BETTER,BIGGER,STRONGER, TOUGHER OPPOSITION THAN LISTON DID, BUT YES THE LISTON FANS HAVE THE "TESTIMONY" OF WEPNER

I don't wish to be awkward, but I think that Marciano probably did have a slightly better chin than Frazier, and Liston probably did hit a bit harder than Foreman.

    First myth:
    Paragraphs are useless.

Not going to read what you posted, though I already agree with it so it doesn't matter much.

My reasons for whateve it is worth:

While Rocky Marciano did not fight anybody like George Foreman, the worst fighteres who dropped him, were better thn the worst fighters who dropped Joe Frazier. Therfore I lean toward him having slightly the better chin.

If one person says that fighter A hit harder than fighter B I take it with a grain of salt, but no less than three people who shared a ring with Liston and Foreman say that Liston hit harder. That is too many to ignore all of them.

oscar bonavena was stronger, harder puncher and heavier than walcott or moore, he was a hw, they were not, period.
george foreman stopped wepner much faster than liston did, and foreman looked much stronger and more powerful on the film so the facts are better than any blablabla

Heavy_Hands it is no point in trying to explain things to some people. I noticed Janitor is one of those people who loves to praise old school fighters.

George Foreman had a higher knocked out percentage and fought bigger people. Plain and simple Foreman hit harder. there is no if ands or butts.

And Moore was knocked down by Archie Moore a blown up middle weight. I can't imagine any middle weight knocking down Frazier with one punch becasue Fraziers chin is way better than Marciano.

Another myth is Foreman had horrible stamina. In 47 prime bouts he won 45 lost 2 and had 42 KO's so because he got tired throwing wild punches at Ali for 8 rounds while Ali grouped and held on to him and because he suffered a heat stroke in Puerto Rico agianst Jimmy Young it means he has horrible stamina?

Wlad gets tired, I seen Lewis get tired, Hell Ali was dead tired against Foreman. But only Foreman has bad stamina? Hilarious

That Andre Ward is p4p number 1 or 2.

    Utterly rediculous myth.
