I have always had a large soft spot for Merciless Ray Mercer and Terrible Tim Witherspoon yet, for some unexplained reason, I have never managed to catch their clash. As a matter of fact, I have heard and read very little about it.

Please rate it for me! Was it a war akin to Merver v Cooper, Witherspoon v Holmes? Or was it an undistinguished, unremarkable snoozer a'la Bowe v Donald. If it gets the thumbs up I'll really have to make an effort to track it down.

    Thanks guys!

It was a pretty good fight from what I remember. Not thrilling, but good technically and closely contested all the way. Technically they both looked better than Bowe or Golota who fought on the same bill.
But in terms of thrills and spills and sheer brutality, Bowe-Golota 2 lived up to the top-billing.

To my eyes Mercer made it a tougher fight for himself than it had to be. Good fight though.
