Mercer dominated Richel Hersisia and won a decision. He punished Hersisia with jabs and heavy blows to the body. I guess the 6x2 format suited the elderly Mercer.

Time for the Dutch "Sonny Liston" to call it a day.

Audley gets a lot of crap but he has talent, he looked great when he defeated Danny Williams. On the other hand he looked awful in a couple of other fights. The man is an enigma.

However, Mercer was quite impressive. I don't see any other 47-year-old geezer out there who can beat him. :p

Maybe 50 yr old Tony Tubbs. Remember he beat Minto a couple years back.

I don't know what Mercer is doing at his age, but if he can still win he should be there to try out young prospects

Yeah, but what Sweden needs is Attila Levin VS Aldo Colliander in a series of fights to create a buzz around boxing. That could be a great rivalry that would fuel headlines in Swedish press. Mercer would be a nice co-headliner as he seems to have a soft spot for Sweden.

I liked the way he dedicated the fight to all 40+ in the audiende. It made me think of Foreman in his heyday.

Aldo Colliander is definitely what Swedish boxing needs to stay away from, he'd stink the place out. What Swedish pro-boxing needs is Levin vs. Helenius.. the people that tuned in would spend their time watching actual fighting rather than running and throwing an eventual right hand, only to whine like a little girl after the fight about having a broken hand.

I disagree, I think we need to create a rivalry among Swedish boxers. Let Levin be the good guy and Aldo can play the bad guy, let them trash talk prior to the fight thus creating an interest in the press, since they only write about boxing if a boxer has died or if they say or do something crazy. Sad but true.

Maybe, and then our people will tune in only to see him run and complain about an injury :tired
