“Really the thing that made the difference was Leslie Moonves,” said Showtime Sports exec VP and general manager Stephen Espinoza. “He was personally involved from the start to the finish. He brought the parties tougher in a way that I don’t know if anyone else could have.”

Of course he influenced. But to say he "forced" is not accurate. Nobody put a gun to Floyd's head. The offer was a sweet one for a ton of money and he signed.

    Simple as that.

Yes, and nothing in that statement says he forced anybody to do anything. It states that he was influential, and multiple reports stated that Moonves was personally respected by all parties involved. i.e - A great mediator for this issue.

You need to learn how to read you simpleton.

You can't force somebody to sign a contract. It's not legally binding if you do. Period, end of discussion.

Seriously, don't have any children. The world has enough dip ****s as is.

BS. Larry doesn't know jack, and I could care less how many broadcasts he's been on. Merchant is a clown, and he is no "boxing expert" by any means. Merchant is just another fan, who reveals his bias during his broadcasts.

Honestly, if you think Merhcant is some kind of authority on boxing. :rofl:rofl

I am 100% certain Floyd wins. This fight has never been particularly competitive in my eyes, and it won't live up to the hype.

Pac couldn't even KO Algieri, and hasn't had a KO in 6 years, but he's going to put Floyd on his ass? Sure.... :nut

Pacquiao has a puncher's chance. That's it. He's not going to outbox Mayweather. Good luck.

lmao. Please Mr. Expert how so? How are Mayweather going to defend against a fast southpaw with amazing footwork?. His shell he has perfect isn't gong to work against that.

Its going to be one of the easiest fights for Manny.

But if you so confident please sign up.

I think Showtime did make Mayweather take this fight. Mayweather wants to continue to cash checks, and Showtime gave him a very short list of available fights. It's either take it or leave it. floyd made the only decision he could make and took it.

Note that Arum is fully involved, when Floyd said he'd never be. And Manny stands to make more than double the $40 million Floyd wouldn't budge on. It's obvious some one else overrode floyd and he was backed into a corner.

The thing is why did he have to take this fight? I wonder if he needs more money already.

Sunshine I think its YOU!! revealing your bias plus youre making it obvious you know NOTHING about boxing.
What Larry Merchant sais about Floyd was nothing but the truth & Floyd knew it that's why he had a hissy fit

One thing is certain here Floyd couldn't put Manny on his azz Xylocaine cheating or not. If youre so confident why didn't you prove it on the ban thread ??? ROFLMAO
