Considering Golovkin was unable to fight in the US until very recently and has beaten no one of note, who gives a **** what he says? Let's see him beat Pavlik, Williams, Dzinriuk, Barker and Macklin comprehensively back to back and then we can give a **** about what he has to say.

Merchant really needs to keep his biased opinion to himself and just call the fight. I think if PBF beats Cotto, there is a good chance a Martinez fight could happen. I hope it does happen. This is the best fight that PBF could have aside from a Pacman bout.

Many people forget or chose to overlook the fact that Martinez is 37years old for ****s sake. Why would he gain more weight to fight someone like Ward who is a high risk low reward fighter. Ward will not give him the money he is looking for and deserves. I like Golovkin, but people really need to stop riding his nuts. Who the **** has he beat to earn a shot at Sergio? Golovkin and Pirog won't even fight eachother. Sergio gains nothing from beating those 2, just like he hasn't really gained nothing after beating Barker and Macklin. At his age, it is understandable, that he goes after the big names and big purses. Mayweather and Chavez Jr. fit that description.
