as i was watching the fights, i could not help but think something was off... something was wrong. i sat perplexed wondering what it could be. why was i feeling this way? why do i feel so awful watching the sport i love? and moments later when i heard him talking about pink gloves , shorts and shoes; there lies my problem. there is reason i am having a hard time enjoying myself... its larry merchant.

i had to try and tune him out because he was so bad last night. i did not watch the post fight interviews because i just couldnt take it ! STFU merchant!!

 

Merchant is great.

 

Yeah but he needs to retire. Nothing sadder than seeing old people looking foolish. Through no fault of their own.

 

I'm the biggest Merchant fan, but I gotta admit last night was pretty bad. Still, I prefer old, drunk Merchant over Kellerman or any one from Showtime.

 

As horrible as Larry was tonight, we should be grateful that HBO has Merchant, because the other Larry on Wealth TV, Larry Holmes was the worse commentator I've seen in years

 

Too many black fighters winning made him lose it a bit imo

 

Yeah, even an old, washed up Merchant is better than that unqualified clown Kellerman. :nod

 

Merchant has been done for years. He should have been put out to pasture years ago.
