Gesta wants fight with Brandon Rios

    By Chris Williams:
    July 22nd, 2011

Fringe lightweight contender Mercito Gesta (22-0-1, 12 KO’s) reportedly badly wants a fight against WBA lightweight champion Brandon Rios (28-0-1, 21 KO’s) is really hoping that Rios will give him a shot. However, Rios rightly do isn’t even slightly interested in wasting time fighting Gesta and I can’t blame him.

Gesta is a complete unknown in the United States among the casual boxing fans, and he’s been looking very, very ordinary in his eight years as pro despite being matched against pretty much C level opposition each time out. This would be a terrible slaughter and hardly worth Rio’s time to fight the slow-handed, slow-footed defensively poor Gesta.

I’ve seen a number of Gesta’s fights and his movements are like someone caught in a huge sheet of flypaper and god his hand speed just terrible. He punch, but so what. His hand speed is just too slow. Gesta needs to fight his way into a title shot like Rios did to get his fight. If Gesta wants a fight against Rios, he needs to take on and beat guys like Anthony Peterson, Miguel Acosta, Jorge Luis Teron and Urbano Antillon.

I see Gesta losing to all of those fighters. He’s just too slow. I like the way that he’s being hyped as if he’s the real deal, but I don’t any talent there other than a little power. It’s going to be a sad day when Gesta finally steps it up against a B level fighter and gets exposed. I’m not even talking A level, because he’ll clearly lose to them. I’m talking B level. That would be a huge step up for for Gesta and I see him failing. But to have Gesta go from the C level guys he’s been facing to getting a title shot against Rios wouldn’t be right. Gesta has to earn the shot.

    you dont know boxing.

Soto faked his performance with Sasaki, so that he can give a false sense of security to Bradley, JMM, Pac, MAB, EM, and any other 140lbs, cause theyre all too scared to fight Soto, so Soto has let his past opponents (david Diaz, Monterrosa, Sasaki, etc.) walk out of the ring, pain-free.

gesta and Rios are no match for Soto.
    Soto ko's both very easily.

and for you to say that Cintron 'found a way out" is proof of how fvcken stupid you are and dont know boxing.

    see the vid:

It was Williams that bent down and pushed agaisnt Cintron.

Williams is the one that "bitched-out" cause Cintron had hurt Williams with 3-4 punches and williams was hurt and then tackled Cintron out of the ring.

The doctor at ringside told Cintron to not move.

and Soto is not a ****** like your ****-drinking Joto (Marquez).

Evander Holyfield did a similar thing when he fought Larry Donald to a boring 12 round win.
Evander only landed about 16 punches in the whole 12 round fight, that the commission was thinking of withholding Evander's purse for lack of fighting.

But what evander was doing is "palying possum" to make himself weaker than he is so that he can try to lure Mike Tyson to a 3rd fight, but Tyson didnt buy Evander's "performance", cause Tyson knew evander was faking it.

U compare Soto to Holyfield?? Soto clearly took a dive in his last bout. Holyfield would rather have another kid than take a dive!! Pls don't put them in the same sentence and remember that Soto is the one who's moving up BTW. Ur posts are so ****ing stupid that I start hating Soto who's a pretty good fighter himself.

Fighters that wan't good fights don't look like D level C level fighters trying to get in with an A level fighter.

If soto wanted the big fights he would make big noise in his bouts, by looking impressive and KO'ing everyone in front of him you know getting fans in love with your Amazing performances getting the media buzzing with your shows and media and fans clamoring for the big BOUTS against the big names... YOU know WHAT A level and PROSPECTS seek to do.

Instead we get someone putting on bad performances and the media saying " Soto is just a good fighter, nothing interesting about him, just above average but needs a lot to be considered great"

Soto will never get shots unless he starts impressing folks. So to say he is acting a possum, and faking diving is to lure in the A lvel fighters? it makes totally no sense who wants to get in with a D C level fighter who struggles with D levels? SOTO is not good and you say these things to justify his shitty performances I am inclined to believe he is related to you in some way by family as you put in way to much work for someone that doesn't impress his fans, so there must be something keeping you in defense of him.
