Round 1

Gesta is coming out aggressive, working high right jabs and hooking off them. Rodríguez answers in kind, throwing his own southpaw jab up top and then concentrating on a body attack, long lead lefts from outside and then right hooks once he is carried in close. Rodríguez has actually connected on more halfway into the opener, Gesta having settled into a more cautious boxing rhythm, not throwing much. Nice counter right hook by Rodríguez ducking a Gesta 1-2. Rodríguez knifes out a double jab, which Gesta easily dodges by creeping to his right, countering with a big right upper-hook against the chest. Gesta is leaning over to his left, and slices down with a right. Down goes Rodríguez at the bell - slip (although Gesta had been hooking just before he fell, though I think it was caught on the arms)

Rodríguez is throwing shorter hooks at the body and giant can openers up top. Gesta swaying backward and executing matador turns, making him miss, and countering with his own volleys downstairs. Gesta is darting in and out, rowing some right jabs into the face with his palms always facing the canvas. Rodríguez misses a jab and is caught with a rapid triple right hook from Gesta, flapping the arm like a chicken wing. Gesta slips a series of Rodríguez jabs and slices upward with a right upper-hook. Overhand left by Rodríguez, bouncing off the shoulder as Gesta rolls into the punch and slaps up top with a grazing counter right hook.
