This will be for the vacant WBF title at 147lbs. (notable past wearers of this belt include Greg Haugen & Humberto Soto)

Karaxha, perhaps lamentably nicknamed "Mister T.N.T." (as he boasts just 9 stoppages in 32 bouts, for an even lower KO percentage than has Thammanoon Niyomtrong with his own ill-starred moniker of "Knockout") is a native Albanian now based in Belgium, and is currently the WBF's international welterweight champion. He is coming off the always dubious and to-be-taken-with-a-grain-of-salt until one can view for oneself hometown split decision over equally tough & unlucky French journeyman Rénald "Cœur de Lion" Garrido a few weeks ago.

Nielsen, a Dane originally trained by the late Anders Hugger Nielsen* (a former amateur star and unbeaten cruiserweight pro from 2006 until 2008, who committed suicide in 2015), is coming off his first professional loss in July, to Mexican novice José Luis “El Puma” Rodríguez Guerrero (somewhat vindicating for Nielsen is that El Puma, who boasts four 'blemishes' already in fifteen bouts with a pair each of losses & draws, went on to also upset German based Russian fringe contender Roman Adamovich "The Lion" Belaev this past weekend).

*although no blood relation, afaik, they were very close friends.

No television channel, just streaming on the promoter's Facebook page.

As for tonight, we have this kid headlining ShoBox at 10:30pm EST: Xavier Augustine "The Red X" Martínez. He isn't exactly taking a huge step up against Jessie Cris Rosales, but no worse than a lateral move from his previous opponent John Vincent Moralde (another Pinoy). That's about it. Then of course tomorrow night is stacked (Krusher vs. Canelo being the big showpiece, along with Fortuna vs. Cuellar and Berchelt vs. Sosa on two different cards, all preceded by a smattering of mediocre action in Europe tomorrow afternoon).

Don't click this unless you've been following the card and know what's going on:

    (but do if you have/do)

it already ended, but since it started an hour earlier than advertised, causing me to miss the first couple of rounds, and since QProTV didn't set up their stream w/ a live-rewindable timer bar, I decided to just wait until the broadcast was over so the video could be watched from the beginning, and have avoided having the result spoiled. Feel welcome to watch and post along, starting now, but shh - don't wreck it. ;)

    Round 1

Karaxha is shelling up, then leaning in with a series of looping rights. Nielsen is pushing the jab between Karaxha's thumbs while circling left and tries dipping forward abruptly to catch him off-guard hooking off the jab. Karaxha sidesteps and swoops in to deposit a tidy straight four-piece before resuming orbit. Nielsen fences with him jab for jab while being herded into a corner and then explodes with a right haymaker, dodged as Karaxha veers aside behind a high guard. Karaxha pokes a few jabs in beneath Nielsen's elbows and they crash together and tie up.

    10-9 Karaxha, pretty close

    Round 2

Karaxha is throwing hooks at the body while taking wide lunging steps to his left to circumvent Nielsen. They are jabbing each other in the chin fairly evenly from mid-range, Nielsen shuffling his feet together and spreading accordingly to broaden his base and now allow Karaxha to flank and sneak around him. Karaxha leans in and rips some blind uppercut lefts and overhand rights in succession, forming a pincer around the head while leaning his face into Nielsen's chest. Nielsen is putting out a single heavy jab at once and retracting to a tight defense while compassing en pointe with his lead toe. Nielsen tries some flurries rushing straight in off the jab, all blocked.

    10-9 Karaxha

    20-18 Karaxha
