I apparently missed the ref docking Nielsen a point for improper use of the head in round 8.

So my score for that round is 10-8 Karaxha, then, and my overall card reads 115-112 Karaxha.

 

Nielsen did quite admirably, however, to run it that close for having taken on the fight with just a week's notice (he was a late replacement for Steve Jamoye).

 

I was just thinking how Karaxha vs. Jamoye would probably have been an even match as they are both on that low-level Euro tier...and discovered that it would've in fact been a rematch. They fought a year ago; sho' nuff, to a draw.
