Rodriguez is pressing Sabillo and tagging him on the head with left hook leads and hard right hands. Sabillo is ducking and moving, egging Rodriguez on and beckoning him in with macho gestures but then running. Sabillo puts out a deterrent right jab, to no avail.

Rodriguez is chasing Sabillo around the ring, landing hard punches, mostly rights on the eye socket and chopping lefts. Sabillo is looking vulnerable. Rodriguez is ducking inside, barring Sabillo's vision and potential countering zone with his forearms held out and peppering him with power shots. Down goes Sabillo!! He rises but Rodriguez is atop him in an instant. Sabillo is down again, but ruled a slip. Rodriguez is cracking him with very hard rights, straights, uppers and chops with just enough lefts sprinkled in to keep Sabillo from escaping out the side door.

Rodriguez is leading with right hands and snapping the champion's head back repeatedly. Rodriguez is willingly taking a few left hand lead stabs on his throat as Sabillo gets set to counter and barreling in with more hard rights and power combos, making Sabillo frantically stumble away or move in and grind against Rodriguez in a clinch.

Rodriguez is jabbing out into the path of Sabillo's right jab, knocking it aside. Rodriguez is roughing Sabillo up with hooks and chopping rights, keeping him on the move or under fire on the ropes. Rodriguez ducks in and lets Sabillo's jab glide over his shoulder while hooking the body. Powerful straight flurry up top by Rodriguez, breaking through Sabillo's defenses and backing him up. Rodriguez is bucking Sabillo away, dropping in and bracing his upper back against him.
