it was similar 2d jones vs thornton ending , in many ways :
jones fighting a shot opponent as usual , hurting him 4 real , but then being unable 2 finish him off so he flurried mainly slaps until d ref obeyed and spared his feeble fists from getting hurt .
similar 2 mccallum vs jackson as well , they weren't d worst stoppages ever , but a few more secs 4 thornton and jackson and d supposed standing 8 4 sosa might have mattered at least in sosa's and jackson's cases .
my conspiracy theory in this 1 is not as solid as in griffin #2 , in which every1 in griffin's team pre fight , and probably a few else could approve griffin's true claims , as griffin #2 is not a conspiracy theory , just ignored truth .

i thought conspiracy theory is a usually wrong , usually bizarre and usually complicated plot , while ignored truth may b a simple fact that is a truth which ppl keep ignoring even after being told / reminded of .

Does Jones have to go Griffith-Paret on a beaten and outclassed opponent to keep guys like Frankenfrank happy?

Thorten and Sosa were beaten and weren't coming back no matter what. Should they be pummelled for even longer to appease the sadist in some people?

    **** that.

A better example of a premature stoppage is Tua-Rahman 1 where the fighter who was schooling the other is flattened by an after the bell punch and gets a stoppage called against him when he's clear headed and avoiding nearly everything thrown at him. Absolute BS that one.
