Take care, all. I really appreciate the chance to discuss with you this thing we call boxing and its history. It's a little thing that means a lot to me. Keep on keepin' on in 2019.
I’m going to compromise and eat way too much turkey and not drink any whisky, haha. Happy Christmas and a Merry New Year to all of you, the ones I’ve agreed with and disagreed with and even you who I haven’t interacted with. This community means a lot to me, it’s a place I can go to learn and to have discussions about things that pretty much no one I know IRL would be able to talk about with me. Cheers to all. Please have a safe holiday and I hope Santa brings you whatever you want! (Already did gifts with my GF and she got me, among other things, a Cassius Clay T-shirt from the Muhammad Ali merch line. Wearing it as I type.)
Stop it all of you! These outward displays of affection and sincerety are making me tear up here. And I'm English so I don't know what to do apart from feel deeply awkward about it! Seriously though, thanks to all the posters (yeah, even you @Ra's Al-Ghul) who made a contribution or that I've interacted with this year. The nature of a forum like this is that agree or disagree, we all feel passionate about this sport we love and that we all know it's a place we can go to discuss it with kindred spirits. Peace to all of you this Christmas and have a great 2019!
Merry Christmas to all of you who celebrate it and happy holidays to the rest of you! I’m glad to have had the opportunity to discuss the boxing of the past with you guys; this board has taught me a lot and pushed me to learn even more on my own. Will need to scale back my participation over the next few months (part of a New Years resolution), and I’ll miss the arguments and conversations dearly. And if any of my British brethren have any suggestions for things my girlfriend and I should do or see in London today, please drop me a line!
Bah Humbug!! It’s that time of the year again, huh? Ah ... well , it’s only once a year, I suppose so have a great day everyone and hope you got the presents you all wanted.
Merry Christmas fellas. Let me echo what a bunch of you already have and say how much I value this little nook here in classic. You guys have taught me a lot about the rich history of the sport that I only started following in the early 2000’s. Since being here I got to learn about, and have come to really appreciate lesser known guys like Sung Kil Moon or Jung Koo Chang. Old timers like Barbados Joe Walcott and Packey McFarland...even underrated modern fighters I wasn’t familiar with like Luis Rodriguez and Eusebio Pedroza. For that...I’m thankful! Again, Merry Christmas boys! Have a good one.
