I don't understand. Some of y'all claim Boxing ain't dead but yet discredit a guy like Mayweather or Pacquaio yet those guys are keeping the sport alive with their ppv numbers, gate and keeping boxing in the mainstream

Those guys are keeping boxing in the "mainstream" for all the wrong reasons. And with all the wrong stigmas attached to them. The real problem with boxing fans is this:
one loss, and you're a ****ing bum, exposed, hypejob, etc. Hell, even if you win but don't manage to knock the guy's head into the rafters you're a hypejob. And even if you DID knock his head into the rafters, you're clearly on PEDs as a result.

Conclusion: boxing fans are the ****ing worst fans.

Why would any boxer want to put his name and title on the line against a legitimate opponent given that information?

there is more to boxing than mayweather and pacquiao. if they retired tomorrow...boxing would still keep going. i lost all interest in seeing them fight each other after pac was owned for 10 out of 12 rounds against jmm. i have absolutely zero interest in seeing him dominated by floyd at this point. the only floyd fight i'm interested in is the rematch against cotto.

i'm more interested in seeing these match ups....

bradley/khan (if khan gets by garcia)

rigondeaux/mares/donaire/moreno in any combination....a tourney is in order

    ward/dawson/dirrell/froch

    chavez jr/martinez/golovkin/pirog/korobov/jacobs/quillen

    cotto/canelo/lara/molina/martirosyan

there are more....but seriously **** pac and mayweather.

Nah, I'm out after Nonito cleans out 122, knocks out Gamboa and retires out on top..

Boxing is dead. It usually has a pulse sometimes when Floyd fights his usual hand picked opponents once a year..
