It's really to bad Sauerland made his ridiculous demand for a $2 million dollar guarantee. If he hadn't done that, Pavlik/Abraham would have already happened.

The Pavlik fans can rag on Dirrell schooling AA now, but there gonna look ******ed on the 17th if Martinez schools Kelly(which is very possible).

It's kind of amusing how fans of a certain fighter get so excited when someone else beats their favorite fighter's rival.

After Hopkins schooled Pavlik, some Calzaghe fans were so ecstatic. Pavlik was supposed to be a possible opponent for Calzaghe and they could also say "look at what Hopkins did after Calzaghe beat him, it proves Hopkins was not old".

They were more excited than Hopkins fans were.

Yes -- but the problem here is that not one single Pavlik fan has said, "If Dirrell beat him, you know Pavlik would." Some of us have had a rather obnoxious "I told ya so" attitude toward the Dirrell/Abraham fight, but that is mainly because Dirrell capatilized on many of AA's flaws that we have been pointing out for years.

Why knock Pavlik for fighting a junior middleweight who is moving up when Dirrell just beat a middleweight who's moving up?

Doesn't seem to make much sense but then again I don't think your point is to make sense, it's to slag on Pavlik because you're butthurt about him for some reason.

Pav had to know that going into this tournament ..there was going to be alot of bull**** and wrong decisions... and he did feel above it... most people saw it as a joke before it started... he talked a bit of smack about it from what i heard "on the internet" but.. i"m sure he wouldn't have minded cleaning jermaines clock again....or...facing abraham...

I like the fact that there are many undefeated's that are just going to have to be defeated
one way or another... carl froch won't handle it well...( my opinion)

pav stayed stateside. the tournament is good for boxing and good for boxing fans but can ruin you as a boxer.. like secret wars in the comic books back in the day... dead or alive.

pavlik is still going to fight martinez who gave a great fight against williams who everyone wants to see kelly fight. .... consider it a tune up.... or not... some see kelly losing.

martinez seems like pavliks sugar shane mosley before his pacman. ..... it's a great buildup... and i credit this decision.

**** Abraham... i hope his next fight aint in germany

many of the people that believed in Dirrell were more disgusted than on that "I told you so ****"

if anything... look at what miranda did to AA the first time when he got ****ing robbed....and look what Pavlik did to Edison Miranda. .... Pavlik still gives miranda props for being a hard hitter and with underestimated speed.
if you ask arthur i bet he will tell you he is the king or some ****ing bull****.

when kelly pavlik beat him there was no doubt to have a rematch.

Pavlik was not invited to Sauerland's party. Pavlik/Abraham would have been a fantastic way to open the tournament up; a highly anticipated fight that many saw as a 50/50 affair. It would have guaranteed huge ratings right out of the gate. Sauerland did not invite Pavlik to participate.

Everbody loves to talk **** about Pavlik dissing the tourney in an article that consisted of recycled gossip rather than an actual interview. No one ever mentions the real interview a few days earlier where KP said he would have loved to participate.

Ward and Dirrell were not considered big threats going into the super six. Pavlik and Bute were seen as the biggest threats to Kessler and Abraham before the tourney started, and neither got an invitaion.

It wasn't just Calzaghe fans it was Abraham fans that came out of the woodwork after the Hopkins fight (Like AA would be able to do anything against Hopkins).

So in the scheme of things this is just a little get back at Abraham fans for there presumtuous shittalk, as well as a bit of vindication to sober boxing fans like me that understood the extreme limitations of Abraham's boxing ability.

I call the Dirrell Abraham fight way in advance and to me it was an easy call:

    http://www.eastsideboxing.com/forum/showthread.php?t=213948&highlight=dirrell&page=2

But Abraham-Pavlik is a different thing. It's slugger against slugger with Abraham carrying the heavier hands and Pavlik having the reach and volume. I couldn't call that fight.

Damned. Ton of bricks moment. Sauland has AA fighting for a lot less than he was willing to put him up against Pavlik for. Yeah, more fights, blah, blah, blah.... AA would truly have been "King" had he taken the same money and beat Kelly. :think And they talked so matter of fact that Abraham would beat Kelly, vacate the titles and then Kelly could win them back......

But Pav would of had to vacate the MW titles, the very same titles that you guys claim he has to fight those tomato cans to keep. What's the point in that if he wanted to drop them and enter the Super 6. You can't have it both ways. Plus his trainer said he was staying at 160 after being schooled by a guy using a zimmer frame.
