See how the people who constantly moan about Watt & cheerlead Woodhall like it if Woodhall ends up commentating every week, then you'll have something to whinge about :deal.
Billy you are a 100 percent right mate he done the same to lindsay when he fought mathews he is a disgrace if ur not an english man when fighting one u have no chance in this game even stevie wonder knows simpson won the fight its a disgrace all the best billy in the future
Without a shadow of a doubt his worst performance was Calzaghe-Jones. Watch last 30 seconds when him and the motor racing guy are saying 'Who wouldnt want a rematch of this?' Err...anyone.
This is getting a little overboard now. We're scapegoating Woodhall and taking all the frustrations of the night and from the O'Connor card out on him. The man had an off night behind the mic, it happens. Doesn't make him a bad person or a bad commentator. Move on.
I am not the biggest fan of Jim Watt but he does come across as far more articulate and intelligent than the other pundits on Sky. He also seems to at least follow the game on the state side and knows a lot about the fighters on the undercards of vegas shows ect. Woodhall's scoring of the first round 10-8 to Smith was absolute bullshite, he also failed to comment on the relentless spoiling that smith was doing.
Steve its not swings and roundabouts were Simpsons concerned mate!!!! Ricky Burns has nothing to do with this issue.I now your friends with Richie and i repect you backing him but on the occasion bad bad commentating he read that fight badly.take care big man
I prefer Woodhall as an analyst in the studio rather than a commentator. He can read a fight well but I was disappointed that on Wednesday night he was clearly favouring Smith- I posted about it immediately after the fight. He knows his stuff and is a welcome addition but on that showing gets too caught up in the drama of a fight to remain objective about what is happening in the ring, so should sit in the studio and analyse a fight afterwards when he is more removed from the action. I don't mind a commentator showing support for a British lad against a foreigner but when it is two Brits in the ring it is out of order to take favourites.
Lilo, I've no idea how old you are but in all the years of watching boxing on sky ( many years ) i have seen it happen loads of times where the commentary doesnt reflect the action. there are several threads in this british section alone complaining about commentary
Billy, what did u think about last nights scoring:think. Scorecard/s way off but the right man won. just like on wednesday:good
I ****ing said if Woodhall was full-time commentating the moaning *******s would be out in force. Just like Jim Watt. And here we go...moaning *******s. Jim is the best commentator, about time people respected that in future.
