My wife and I were grocery shopping last night at Wal-Mart here in Vegas and I randomly ran into Kevin Kelley in the produce section! I didn't wanna bother him too much, he was with his lady and his kids... But I did shake his hand and let him know he was a warrior... He was really cool to me. I mentioned his fight with Prince Naseem as being one of my favorites to re-watch and he said they are friends now and Naseem still calls him up lol! Pretty cool.
Kelley is a classy guy and a good fighter in his own right. His fight with Hamed is great and so are his fights with Troy Dorsey and the first Gayner fight.
I think his first fight with Gainer was what really got me into the sport. Man that was a good fight.
Wasn't Kelly a broadcaster on the HBO KO Nation boxing series? He was alright. Nothing special. I met him in Vegas once at one of Arum's Spanish Boxing fights. He was cool. Talked and took a picture with us.
Wasn't Gainer beating his azz, then he landed a hang maker a KO'ed Gainer? If so, i remember that fight lol
Thats so funny that I open this thread up. I finish my workout at my gym today, and shoot the **** with the manager. Then this guy comes up to us. He was Kevin Kelley's sparring partner. Cool stuff.
