I did and ODLH was the first Gold medalist since when?, the dinosaur age?

By the way, don't the majority of Mexicans say DLH isn't a real Mexican and a fake?

That statement is straight garbage considering guys like Salvador Sanchez, Ruben Olivares, Vicente Saldivar, Julio Cesar Chavez, and Carlos Zarate. I suggest you research them because you obviously don't know who they are to make such a garbage statement.

Well check this out how many Black Gold medalists have we had since 00. Only Andre Ward so what are you getting at with all this? And only one other since Oscar , which is David Reid. So WTF:huh

He's hard to argue with because I don't really understand what he's trying to say. Mexican boxers suck, is the only thing I think he's trying to say. You're right. I'm thinking WTF also.

I figured it was the first or second one. You can refer to all of the ATG lists you want but you can't doubt how effective the Mexicans have been - in most cases without the physical gifts that African American fighters have. Maybe their styles aren't as pretty as Mayweather's or Whitaker's, but boxing is a sport of violence in which being a furious warrior is rewarded.

If being a defensive master was criteria for being atg, you know how many fighters would NOT be considered atg? They had everything else that made them great. It's difficult to completely avoid being hit when you pressured your opponent. They weren't as defensive inept as you suggest. You WILL get hit against solid competition so defense is very important but you need more....and they had more than enough of other attributes to be considered great

Of course they will get hit, this is a sport based on that and no matter how good the defense is you will be put in positions where you will have to hit to hit back. Even the defensive guys have to open up to land otherwise they won't be landing much of anything either. I'm not saying defense is the only criteria for ATG rankings, Ali did far more toe to toe exchanges late in his career than be defensive because he was forced to. My point is showing more than one dimension in the ring and I'm sure you will agree that this is a VERY important criteria unless the one dimensional ATG was good enough in his one dimension to break down multi dimensional fighters based on power and will which is why I'm sure Chavez Sr. is rated high enough on ATG lists.

I would say that mexican are more exciting. A lot of black boxers are
boring to watch since what they called slicking boxing consists of running too much in the ring which makes the fight too long with too many boring rounds, of course there are some exceptions.
