CC, Raf, and Izzy have all been stopped in fights, but they've fought world class comp. Lopez is totally unproven. I like Lopez, but it's when the other guy takes your shot is when we find out if truly can fight. Beating Ponce De Leon is one thing, beating CC is another.

Its the same at any place....almost all fighters in the world are over protected today...with the exception of absolute raw tallent like Gamboa and Povetkin for example who faces good fighters early in their pro career...

They still have the goods to beat him. As for Lopez, I would love to see him fight Johnny Gonzalez first then face Celestino. I think he would learn a lot by fighting Gonzalez.

I see him doing a great job of outboxing him for the first four rounds but Johnny will sure come to the pressure like he always does later in the fight and I see Lopez ko'ing him. Yeah, he might be an old 27. He has been in a lot of wars.

You can't outbox somebody who's a better boxer than you. I can understand if people are not too sure of Lopez but that's because they probably only seened 2 or 3 fights of his two of them that ended in the first round but I have seened most of his fights and trust me this kid has the goods to become a top p4p fighter. Bouie Fisher on one of his talk segments has said Lopez has what it takes to be p4p number 1 in the future so we shall see where his career goes.

Until Lopez fights a live body, we won't know if he is the goods. I think he is, but I've seen a lot of fighters with talent. The other champions have faced far better comp. Lopez has talent, but he is unproven. Like Blanco, he was unproven going up against Carlito...and then came at him at the right time lol...

Well Carlito was a old hustler that deserved to get murked by me.:deal

In all seriousness though, you don't consider Ponce a live body?....He was looked at as the 4th best 122 pounder and was the slight favorite to KO Lopez, and most people who thought Lopez would win that fight thought he would win it by decision but when Lopez iced him in one round people now try to discredit his win. And Lopez had another decent win early in the year against fellow Boricua prospect Jonathan Oquendo who fights for Golden Boy Promotions and Lopez sonned him in 3 rounds. And Lopez will be fighting Sergio Medina on the DLH/Pac undercard and Medina is rated number 6 on The Ring Magazine top ten 122 pounders. So Lopez is trying to fight the best the division has to offer.

Lopez is still young. Every fighter needs to prove himself. Anytime you can beat a puncher, that is good. PDL was a good puncher, and that's it. Lopez has not faced a man his equal with his type of skills yet. Lopez is like Berto...worlds of talent, just unproven. this isn't a negative against Lopez, it's a fact. I was kidding about Cormega. I actually think the business did him wrong.

Fair Enough and I do agree that Caballero will get ducked because of his freakish size like Paul Williams. Speaking of Caballero here's a song of his about his hometown of Colon,Panama. The song is pretty catchy tune once you listen to it acouple of times.

I don't post here a lot this is in fact my second post in a long time jeje, well I am from Mexico and I don't whant to be bias but in my opinion Celestino Caballero is good, but not as good to beat Juanma Lopez or Israel Vasquez and Rafael Marquez, I saw his fights with Ponce who almos ko him in the last round and took almost all the punches celestino trow(Lopez beat him in one round) and La Cierva(in that fight in my opinion celestino lost), the turht is that this guy molitor is nothing special no near the level of Lopez(who in my opinion is the best in the division) marquez or vazques (i even think ponce can ko him) so even though everything can happen in a fight, I don't think this win means a lot to caballero in terms of acomplishments.
