Mexican fighters who speak english? JMM?

    Kinda random, but looks like JMM has been taking some english lessons. I wonder if Rafa has been doing the same. Still super trippy hearing him speak in english, but I hope spanish speaking fighters take this route as it will make them more appealing to english audiences.

    Doesn't Barerra and Morales speak English? Morales I know for sure speaks English.

    MAB studied law in college and is from a well to do family.
    JMM finished accountancy in college and is a CPA.

    These guys know and understand and can write in english, and can speak good level english.

    They just feel more comfortable speaking in spanish.


    I'm sure most US based boxers also can speak decent english, they are just not so confident talking on cam, and would just rather talk in their native spanish.

    Abner Mares speaks it very good. of course it helps that he was pretty much raised in Cali, tho he was born in Mexico.

    Marquez is getting on well but I think Cotto is slightly more together in terms of grammar even though he is heavily accented.
