Former 2 time mexican olympian Oscar Valdez is sparring world champ Leo Santa Cruz. The sparring sessions have been intense and fun to watch. Oscar Valdez fights next week on TV Azteca on 12/7. His second pro fight.... Valdez needs to make a few minor adjustments. But this kid is a beast!

    Valdez in red.

One is already a top fighter and current Champion in mini Margarito/Rios Santa Cruz vs a wannabe mexico chicano that did not even get the Bronze medal.

I bet Santa Cruz was only using 50% of his power and ability to make it seem like the failed olympian chicano belongs in the same ring with the current proven Champion.

agreed, amongst some other things. (minor stuff IMO) But Valdez is a good fighter. His amateur background is evident in the ring. Looking forward to seeing his development!

Valdez is a beast, dropped Irishman JJ Nevin with one of the best body shots ive ever seen in the ams during the Olympics.

It was a beautiful body shot that put Nevin down. If Valdez shows the same focus and discipline he demonstrated in the Ammys, he will be a solid pro fighter and future champ. :good

Valdez impressed me in the Olympics. Looks to have a style that will convert well to the pro ranks.
