    I lived in Mexico for 5 years. They respect Manny greatly. They cheer against him when he fights against a Mexican. However they have lots respect for him because they are boxing fans that appreciate a good boxer.

    I think the people of Mexico like Manny for his fighting style and his charisma. The man is a winner and you gotta respect that. However when the fight starts, most of them will be for JMM cause they always root for and support their homies.:bbb:bbb:bbb

    The other reason is because many Mexican are Catholic and can identify with Pacquiao being a devoted Catholic. If you look at that video visit the gift they gave to Pacquiao, it was a rosary.
