are there any? Mexican fans are usually die hard about supporting Mexican fighters.

We've seen Quincy K so far who is notorious for not being an Alvarez fan. Juan Manuel Marquez isn't a fan either and makes no secret about it.

Was it the final round they were dissatisfied with? Giving away the final round to play it safe because you're ahead on the scorecards isn't becoming of a Mexican warrior

No, they just didn't appreciate Canelo's skills on that fight. They expected more aggressiveness . But I was hanging out with a bunch of charros intoxicated to their bones. I'm sure more Mexicans wouldn't agree.

I'm a fan, but not a huge fan just yet. He's been growing on me though, especially after the Trout fight.

There's definitely a double standard there. Fans don't seem to care for
Mexicans who potshot and run even when they're ahead on the scorecards.

Im not a fan of him yet. He hasnt had that signature win yet, the one that classifies you as a warrior in the ring. Maybe because he has been matched carefully. He beat one contender and already got the p4p number one fight. I know it has to do a lot with bussiness but still. fighters grow on me when they face advesity and push that extra gear to overcome the tought times.

I was selling a Mexican customer a phone case once, and I told him I was a JMM & JCC fan and asked him if he liked boxing, and he said, "Yeah, but Mexico doesn't have nobody good now, only his (Chavez's) son." Though I hear from everyone else Canelo is by far more popular.

I think you should add Chavez Jr. He said he wasn't impressed with Canelo.

Who told you that? No one is more popular than JC Chavez's son. And it's only because he's JC Chavez's son. JC Chavez is like Pacquiao in the Philippines. Why do you think that he's the only big money check from 154 up to 168. Ward, Martinez, GGG, and a whole lot of other fighters want a shot at the Chavez Jr. money train.
