Mexico vs Puerto Rico in 2008

    So this is a review of where are we so far this year in imporant fights.

    Margo vs Cintron = Mexico
    Cotto vs Gomes = Puerto Rico
    Juanma vs Ponce De Leon = Puerto Rico
    Cotto vs Margo = Mexico
    Calderon vs Cazares = Puerto Rico

    So, we can say that so far... Puerto Rico is up by 1 fight... right??

    Any other relevant fight that I am missing?:huh

    My grandfather was Puerto Rican, so I appreciate those numbers.

    Getting this thread back on track (once I finished googling Rita):

    The Puerto Rican/Mexican rivalry is one of the best things about boxing. Even at the gym where I work out, the Mexicans give me a hard time when I come in wearing my San Juan Boxing Club t-shirt. :yep

    I bet they do... Mexicans are proud as hell and we are too by the way... Great rivalry! can't ask for anything better in boxing...

    I am Puerto Rican. I was born and grew up in the island. The important number for me is the money mexicans and boricuas are making now. It was a about time. We are bringing real fights. Not like the shows we get from boxers like Floyd and Oscar. Oscar De la Hoya should not even be considered mexican. Never lived in Mexico. Represented the USA. And doesn't have the pride a real mexicans have.
