    I agree with the OP.

    Pacquiao ran from Soto all the way to a fights with Cotto, Hatton, Oscar, Margarito, and Clottey. Man, what a ***** that Pac is!

    Soto's a good fighter as a featherweight, not so impressive above that. He's one of my favorites, but he's not ever beating Manny.

    There was no reason to fight soto outside of revenge for beating the hell out of his brother. Made no sense to fight him but if he did then he prolly would have KOed soto somewhere before the 4th round.

    The way Guzman landed all those shots on Soto, I would believe that Pac would have KOed him. I think Pac's team wanted no parts of Guzman at that time because of guzman had speed and skills to match pac at that time. Had nothing to do with pac and more with his teams pickin of opponents.

    He also decided to fight David Diaz who everyone knew wasn't better than Joel Casamayor or Juan Diaz. No need to mention the fact that David Diaz was an extremely slow, unathletic plodding fighter. That was pretty blatant IMO.

    in 2007, Arum tried to put Soto vs Pacman in Macau, China and Pac got scared and chickened-out, and instead fought c-level boxer Jorge Solis, to duck Soto.

    in 2008, Pac again chickened-out and ducked another proposed Soto fight, and instead pac fought David Diaz for "peunuts" .

    In those 2 years, Pac fought lesser known boxers for less money, to avoid Humberto Soto, because Pac is too scared to fight Soto, cause Pac knows that Soto would brutalize him in the ring like no one else can.

    too much risk for not enough reward... call it ducking is insane, he choose not to fight him.. would ve been a good fight thou, few years back... better then solis or diaz
