So I was talking about the Mexican pride, and somebody said something about Morales, in my opinion he did in fact quit, but I believe in redemption too an his fight with Maidana made me his fan again,.

By the way I have always thought that DLH only shows his "mexican" side as a marketing tool (i know a lot of guys do it too)

Back on topic...i think there is definitely a line dividing mexicans and chicanos, most mexicans dont claim ODH...Antonio Margarito was looked upon as the next "chavez" untill he ****ed that up...on a side note, im not mexican but in a fight between a mexican vs anybody il root for the mexican...its just the latino way i guess.

 

I think its very ridiculous when born Mexican's root against Mexican-Americans and vice versa. At the end of the day both have Mexican blood and are very proud of their heritage. There is nothing wrong representing both places and people should be honor with guys like Ortiz and DLH that represent both countries. At the end of the day any fighter who steps inside that ring has my respect and has great courage.

there's a lot of pride in Mexico for the indigenous roots. thats why so many fighters from there claim to be "guerreros Azteca", Aztec warriors. thats why theres Azteca stadium. And the real culture of Mexico, generally, are people mixed with both indigenous (which btw, were people who migrated from asia when there was an ice bridge along the bering strait connecting asia and north america) and spanish heritage, and what they became once they got their independence. It's not one or the other
