Manny Pacquiao vs Juan Manuel Marquez - MGM Grand
Manny Pacquiao vs Shane Mosley - MGM Grand
Manny Pacquiao vs Miguel Cotto - MGM Grand
Manny pacquiao vs Ricky Hatton - MGM Grand
Manny pacquiao vs Oscar De La Hoya - MGM Grand

If You look at Pacquiaos fight schedule you see that he fights twice a year. Once at the end of the year and once at the mid point or so.

2012-05-05 would fit perfectly since Manny had Mosley 2011-05-07 and now Marquez 2011-11-12.

Some feel MGM Grand is too small for a fight like that.
De La Hoya fought both Pacquiao and Maywaether in MGM Grand.
Tyson Holyfield I and II happened in the MGM Grand

this is what I been saying!!! The date works perfect for Pac according to his history and time in between fights and MGM being the venue was already agreed on in previous negotiations, why not anymore? MGM was, is and always will be the only venue for a fight of this magnitude in this day and age.

because bob is being a ***** for emmanuel

that mgm is too small to host an event of this magnitude idea holds no weight since the MGM always sells more

it's not even known if this one will do as well as Mayweather-Oscar, but May-Oscar still had the best gate and was at the MGM

MGM is definately big enough, that is just an excuse. I'm not convinced Mayweather vs Pacquiao will outsell De La Hoya vs Mayweather.

As far as I am concerned the date is viable and if doesn't work, then find a date that DOES work and offer the alternative. Rather than just shoot it down, offer up something positive.

Manny should put his foot down and say, (if I get past Marquez) I will ask Arum to make the fight, open his mouth. Thats one of the biggest things I dislike about Manny is he doesn't ever want to speak for himself and is happy with Koncz/Ariza/Roach/Arum being his mouth peice.

The Fight of the Century could sell out Cowboys Stadium even with $500.00 nosebleeds. Hell, if the cheapest seat in the ****ing house was $500.00, I'd pay just to say that I was there. Floyd's rampin' up for Khan or Canelo. And I guarantee that Floyd's gonna derail the fight by asking for a 60-40 split. WATCH.

I disagree with this, look at the history of the two fighters neither are greedy BUT you have to be honest with yourself, Pacquiao is the one who nearly made a fight fall through due to money, he almost cancelled a fight because he decided what he had previously agreed to was no longer enough (see Hatton)

Floyd does not have a history of demanding unreasonable splits of the money.

Also Cowboys if fine but no one (press, big spenders) wants to go there, its a proven fact that MGM generate more revenue. All the ballers wanna go to vegas and watch the fight and gamble and such!

The reason I'd prefer the fight at Cowboy Stadium is that I have a better chance at scoring a ticket there with the 100,000 capacity. If Pac-Clottey could do 50,000, Pac-Mayweather could sell out a 150,000 seat stadium if there was one. If that fight was held there, people will come and pay higher prices.

Are you people really this dumb? Venues pay big fights large sums of money to come there. Do you just hand over that right because some dumb **** like Jr books a hall? When you do a deal do you look at all the options or just say "this is good enough? Don King made Ali v Foreman the biggest fight of its time by getting a country to pay for everything. Or do you know where Manilla is ? Remember Ali v Frazier 3. Dubai anyone? Try working from a position of strength not Floyd said so, it must be great.

Not disagreeing but I think may-pac is much bigger than those listed, probably the most biggest fight in boxing history. Add to that all the hype that has build up for the past couple of years. There was never any big anticipation than this fight with all the drama around it.

Ok I understand that, but if that is Arums issue then rather than coming out and being antagonistic just come out and say "this is great news we want to fight Mayweather but for a fight of this magnitude we want to consider other venues, so once we have got through the Marquez fight we will see what we can agree" It's just pure negativity coming from all of Team Pacquiao give us fans something to hope for!

If this is truely a reflection of their attitude I can understand why negoations are so difficult.....It's not hard to be positive and try to meet half way!

I think it will, DLH vs. May was made straight up without no drama, and less than a few months to hype. In fact there wasn't really any interesting hype at all, it was just like any other big fight in boxing. This is kinda different, its been two years and both are on the roll, there is simply no excuse that can be made if one loss to the other. Both are seen at their best, not prime but still at their best.
