    are you happy with darren mckenna as an opponent for david brophy? this isnt really the kind of fight that will help him get into title contention is it? 5 w 13 l, i think david is a decent boxer but he really needs to be fighting someone with a good record that will test him a wee bit! unless there is something bigger on the horizon and this is just a tune up??

    David hasn't fought since last Oct so it's an ideal opponent, not many outside the top 4-5 boys would entertain David
    Luckily he's had great sparring again and been looking very good, so fingers crossed things will happen for him very soon

    good luck. i might see if a couple of lads fancy going! not the best card maybe but i suppose any boxing better than no boxing

    By the sounds of it there will be a very good crowd at the show.
    Im sure the venue holds in the region of 2,000-2,500 and given its MGM Scotland's first show that would be an excellent turn out.

    Be interesting to see how Brophy gets on with McKenna then, blackledge had him all at sea whilst it lasted.. I know it's not the perfect measuring stick but may tell us a little about Brophy.
