i kind of agree but i can tell you that i have seen these guys fighting each other and imo it would be more exciting than watching some of the other drivel that has been shown on tv shows lately:good

Surely they would have a bigger name as top of the bill and a fight between the others as a support bout?

100% charlie flynn never won the fight against lewis paulin, it took charlie until the last round to properly recover, he lost the 1st with knockdown and lost 2nd. scandalous judging by all involved:good

lewis vs mick roberst jar would be a good fight at super feather:good

Ronnie didn't believe that he should sell the more tickets and fight the harder opponent and also be the higher ranked fighter and need to fight on the undercard. A bit arrogant possibly but he feels that he should have headlined it. Mikey blasted the boy out in a round and having that as a headliner wasn't fair. It's kinda like Ronnie v Cacace with Josh Taylor headlining against someone who is 2 weights below. its understandale though. Mikey I have always liked he's great to watch. For that fight there was ticket sales being taken from a Facebook event we created and his Mrs who was very quick in replying was meeting people with tickets and billing it as sales didn't matter. It's a fact. We didn't care as Ronnie could care less about the Dundee show and had long not cared when opponents were announced with both Jamie and mikey fighting journeymen and conning the public. Any interview you watch with Ronnie he says the same he wants real fights. Jamie has had 3 fights with Brett fidoe which isn't helping him. Myself and Ronnie go to both Jamie and mikeys fights. Ronnie at a stage in his career where he's realistic and knows Dundee won't do anything or any big title fights will not happen here. Tommy is bleeding mikey dry by promising him a British title fight v skeete in the papers. It's dilusional and will never happen! Boxing crazy views on mikey I think he can be outboxed and heard he was by warburton but credit where it's due he seems to get the stoppages and is very good with vip tickets and sponsorship of shows. Dundee is a very small place where there is some needle. Usually amongst supporters though. Heard it's pretty much the same in Edinburgh though, benson and tiffs fans. Happens everywhere

I wasnt there can only go on what I was told. Charlie lacks power and is very vulnerable.. For any show to be in Dundee it needs Scottish Talent to sell tickets.. I think Ronnie would need to fight a big name and Mike would have to fight Thain or Carslaw.. Scott Allan v Jamie Wilson would do 200- 300 tickets.. If they put Paul Kean v Any Middle / Super Middle would prob do similar numbers.. Thats 4 Dundee fighters and Scott Allan who would do over 100 so should do over 1000 tickets combined but got to be worthwhile to everyone

Never made the TV yet as well so us in the South have no idea what the rants are about.

Cannot see Butt National being able to sell the Jock fights abroad so no doubt we will see what all the fuss is about when the fights are shown on a stream located near the River Clyde. :arran

Tighter than two coats of paint if rumours believed to be true.

Tight or shrewd? There is no money in Scottish boxing and the amateurs turning over need to sell tickets. It's boxing and although I don't believe in it Its true. I think the problem may be is the material that is broadcasted. They won't continue to broadcast it unless it's decent match making.

This is brilliant news for Scotland -- well done to Sam and MGM Scotland. Has the makings of a good card but needs some of the boxers to step up and take 50-50 fights! And hopefully other promoters can get fighters on - dont see why not as MGM seem to have worked with every other Scottish promoter at some point as far as I know? Scotland is so small that promoters must work together, it doesnt matter who has the tv deal and everyone should work to get the best boxers on the show.

Hopefully some sensible pricing too if there's a wee bit extra money from the TV.

Forty quid max for general admission tickets.

Good luck to them both but I can't see BN giving anything money wise towards Scottish boxing apart from exposure.

You'd think that MGM would want it to be packed for TV, electric atmosphere and all that. To do that, they've got to look at the pricing I think. If they continue to have their cheapest tickets at £40 there is no way they will sell out Meadowbank.

Yes - confirmed £40 gen admin tickets for both the Bellahouston (Glasgow) show on Sat 1st Oct and Meadowbank (Edinburgh) on Sat 29th Oct.

I don't really mind paying £40 if the bill is decent but the last Bellahouston show was pretty poor, mainly due to the standard of opposition.
Hopefully the extra BN money will tart up the presentation and afford to pay better than Latvian road sweepers. :hey

It is in Bellahouston - the Meadowbank one is not on BN. I think £40 is fair but agree there needs to be more 50-50s on the shows. I see for Meadowbank Brian Forsythe is meeting a Liverpool boxer also with MGM and that looks a 50-50. Hopefully more like that to come.

You sure? I spoke to a couple of the fighters on the Meadowbank card and they seemed to think it was on Boxnation...

The gulf in class between the Edinburgh & Glasgow fighters is pretty vast, and that's not me being biased. It should be the Meadowbank one if they are wanting exposure for their best fighters. Then again, MGM seem to have their favourites regardless of ability.
