That's not true at all. A pro trainer is not allowed to train white collar. BBBofC are pretty clear on that. It's the same that a pro trainer is not allowed to work in the corner of a Amateur also a pro boxer is not allowed/meant to be involved with either.

 

That is not 100% true mate, I still work the corner of my amateurs but I can no longer be involved with the International side. Boxing Scotland are aware that I hold a BBBoC license and they have never mentioned anything to me about not being able to do the corners even at the national championships.

 

Your wrong you can hold a pro and amature trainers badge and still train your amature fighters in regional championships and nationals and club shows etc , just not international aiaba governed bouts ,

 

This was said and I remember this being in relation to Peter Harrison and one of the Edinburgh lads can't remember which one. This was a few years ago there was a bit of fuss kicked up about it. I'm assuming they ditched the idea then . I think it's the same with everything they do whatever suits them

 

Peter had to give up his professional license when he took up the job Head of Youth Development at Amateur Boxing Scotland. This involved him being paid by ABS and working at international tournaments. Peter went back to the pro game when he left ABS.

 

I think yes a few years back it was different now it's changed, I was told that white collar boxers are allowed to be traind by whoever,as long as the pro trainer doesn't have anything to do during the contest

 

Correct. You can train them just not be involved in fight
