I'm actually really looking forward to the Honorio fight. I might be his only actual fan. I guess I have something for the hard working an all around fairly balanced all things considered overachiever types.

    :good

Martín is cool. (if very raw...like borderline Maussa :!:)

I'll never forget his brilliant little run of exposing Molina Jr. and Hilario back to back when they were both undefeated prospects being touted by the networks as devastating punchers. :yep

In comes this awkward stringy guy who just busts them down with veteran pressure and leaves them both totally befuddled. :rofl

Had some additional solid victories in Mtagwa, Archuleta, Favela and then-unbeaten Luevano - and was competitive in most of his losses (the Ghost blowout notwithstanding), many of them championship grade opponents.

He was a headache equally for come-forward types and slick boxers alike.

Was, though. Dude's a natural featherweight now in his late thirties. Usually a bad recipe.. and The Artist is a pretty good boxer-puncher in his prime (and hungry to get this W to keep his positive streak going after his own couple of setbacks in 2012/13)

He's huge, that's for sure. Perez looked substantially smaller than Omar Fig when they fought, and Honorio is substantially taller/longer than Omar

He was getting bullied around in that one, and didn't like the consistent pressure and body punches of Omar at all. More or less quit as well. :verysad

He strikes me as having something of a "soft" mentality, for a fighter anyway. Still a brave guy but missing that essential for a world class fighter grit. :bart

^ Agreed, Russ. Perez strikes me as talented and smart enough to contend but lacking in "championship heart".

    Delgado - Sandoval

    1: 9:10

Close round. The prospect does not look to good.

    Round 1

Iván is mowing forward, keeping his forearms pinned to his face with his chin nestled in the crook of his elbow, catching the southpaw hooks of Sandoval tossed lightly as he slides on the backfoot. Delgado pumps in 1-2s and blocks after each one as Sandoval flurries, leading with the right hook and dropping a left uppercut on the body. Delgado sashays away so the body shots miss, turns Sandoval and walks him down with more single jabs and 1-2s from the guard.

    10-9 Delgado

20-18 Delgado but he's kind of slogging his way through it. Unimpressive.

Sandoval is really in love with that right hook up top/left uppercut downstairs combo, isn't he? I just watched him spam it like six times in a row all linked together.

    All blocked. :yep

It looked kind of like an epileptic fit. :!:
