He complains about Carter's negativity but also criticizes himself for not fighting smarter to apply pressure and slow him down more. Fairly honest self-assessment.

 

Gramajo says he gave away the 1st (which Steve & Dougie both gave to Carter, but which I still thought Gramajo edged) to get a sense of Carter's speed and movement patterns, and proceeded to wear him down from there. Seems like a kid who knows the game pretty well, good tactical mind.

 

Alexis Rocha vs. Jordan Rosario, 4 rounds @ welterweight

 

Rocha is making his pro debut, and Rosario is 0-3.

 

Clinch-fest; even when Rocha is landing some hefty rib-*******s with his left, Rosario has a tight clamp on his right arm.

 

Pretty weak and poorly executed head shots on the inside, but yeah, Rocha does hit the body pretty well.

 

They're now talking up Chimpa Gonzalez, whom I believe is up next to kick off the second half and "business end" of the card. The matchmaking in this one isn't as competitive as in the co-main events, though; Chimpa is taking a step up in class but David Rodela has only been victorious twice in the last six years, along with a draw and nine losses...six by KO. :!:

 

He's just being considerate; didn't want to break the hips of every female in attendance.

One glimpse of a shirtless Tiger, and POW, inonnimate bone shattered. :-(

Huh. So it seems Chimpa vs. Rodela is actually 2nd billed somehow and not the battle of unbeaten prospects.
