Micheal Brodie takes on a hungry U.S based Hackney Bred Mark Alexander on August 21 in a 6 Rounder on a Hatton Promotions show at Manchester Velodrome. Alexander is 8-3 (0) and has paid his way to train and live in the U.S under the tutor ledge of Manny Steward. This fight will be at Super Feather Weight. Found in this weeks Boxing News. Alexander has a decent record but this is his second fight in three years. Beaten every time he stepped up a level. http://www.boxrec.com/list_bouts.php?human_id=38473&cat=boxer
Yep read this in boxingnews too. Should be an intersting fight. Any ideas on how Brodie is and what he could go on and do right now? Sure he must have some title in mind?
Well he's talking World titles again...he mentioned Martinez as a champion he still thinks he can beat but for me i'd like to see him in a warm up before making any rash calls on his future but i do feel he could still have another domestic title challenge left in him.
Hopefully he has enough left to challenge for a domestic title. I doubt he could go further but good luck to him. Shame to see him get knocked around though if he has nothing left.
Yeah that's my worry...the night of the Scott Harrison fight he looked a broken fighter. Hopefully he will get in there and know if he's not right and do the right thing but if he is back to a decent level he will still cause any domestic 130lb fighter trouble.
Sounds like Brodie isn't messing around...no punchbag warm ups for him. Sounds like this could be a very good 6 rounder.
I'm pretty certain Brodie fought with a cracked rib that night. I think Andy Morris cracked it in sparring. I do agree that he looked like a fighter who was near the end, it was a sad way for such a good fighter to go out. I don't think he can achieve world title success in his comeback and hope he doesn't get smacked around by fighters who wouldn't have been in his class during his prime.
