From the ever so reliable sources at boxrec. Former European, Commonwealth, British Super Bantamweight champion, WBF and IBO featherwight champion. Is apparantly making a comeback 3 years after being KOd by Scott Harrison has teamed up with Amir Khans former trainer Oliver Harrison and will be fighting as a Super Featherweight on May 23rd Can he make a succecful comeback? He has a record of 35-3-1
I sincerely hope he doesn't come back. He's been through too many wars already. Coming back at his age and after the crushing defeats he's had would be very very dangerous imo. Probably skint :-(
that's right. Brodie was a tough guy but that bogus verdict in the first Chi fight didn't do him any favours in terms of career longevity, as he got a worse pasting in the rematch and by the time Harrison got him he was done...almost out in the first round.
I saw him in Seoul a couple of years ago beat Rudi Lopez for the WBC belt I think it was....he won on points but it looked like the wars with Brodie, Morales etc were showing on him too. Frustrated by lack of money, he tried that K1 **** but don't think he stuck with it. I know he has opened his own boxing gym in Seoul now. Chi is a gent and a fighter of his quality deserved to make more money....a real hard *******.
Cheers, didnt know bout the K1 stuff, maybe as its always big weights i seen........he did have a MASSIVE head though. Yeah he ruined Brodie in those battles. Hope he does ok ( Brodie ) but man, i know fighters come back etc......its really wierd that he is coming back. Cheers
Sames, was the first fight that i really questioned me Gutted ? Disturbed ? Surprised ? Yeah, then i turned it in. We all know or should know he trained, watched weight, did everything to meet him when the bell went..............and he won ! Then be told........NO !! You LOSE ! ! ! ! Synical ? Gutted ? Lost ? I dont wanna know what that boy thought that night.
I hope he doesn't come back. Whilst it was upsetting to watch him announce his retirement in the changing room after the Harrison fight, it was refreshing to see him making the tough but right decision.
