He's right.. Chris mannix had it 5-2 as well.

Canelo was throwing but not actually landing clean. He looked frustrated in rounds 5, 6, 7.

If it weren't for that timed punch.. Which was more Saunders stupidity than Canelos genius (bending at the waist in the same position several times come on any counterpuncher will know that they'd need to punch wherever they are bending into)... I think that habit of Saunders bending like that fd him up.. Saunders and his team should have at least ingrained him to bend down with a glove in place to catch any uppercut. However these things take long to ingrain

Had it 4-4 after 8, could see 5-3 Canelo, scorecards were as expected.

I probably had Canelo up a couple of rounds at the time of the stoppage Had a crappy connection and missed a bit here and I don't like to truly "judge" a fight while I'm watching. Takes away a lot of the enjoyment for me, but I had the impression that BJS was having more success as the fight went on and it looked as though Canelo was starting to get a little frustrated.

I thought the biggest tell tale to how any judging was going to go if this had gone the distance was Scoring the 1st round for Canelo when he threw 6 punches and missed with 5 of them Compared to BJS 14 and landing 9 of them. Yet the judges all scored for Canelo

Judges scorecards mean so little nowadays especially in this type of fight. It's a pleasant surprise when the judges aren't clearly bought. Saunders was not going to win a decision.

Credit of coarse to Canelo he is a great fighter and that was a horrible punch that did a lot of damage.

Maybe Billy needed a humbling but not like that.

It makes no difference whatsoever, there was a full third of the fight left when it ended. It's like someone leading in a marathon but pulling out of the race with 9 miles still to go.
