I think you are right. US market is much tougher to crack as there isn't the same cross over interest that exists in the UK outside of the normal boxing fan base.

Miller is a tougher sell as a challenging opponent than a come backing Fury was for Wilder and with DAZN being a new platform there won't be the same audience base and so Joshua's exposure in the US will be limited. I'll be surprised if the US interest in Joshua/Miller is as high as it is for Wilder/Fury.

But I guess we'll see. Joshua will need to work very hard to crack the US. His persona which is so appealing in the UK will likely be seen as bland to Americans. I fully expect him to go on a charm offensive and you'll see him everywhere in the US to build this Miller fight.

you do realise that they are fighting in NY right?
there is a reason joshua is being put in new york to fight. To gain viewing numbers, if he already had those numbers then he would be in vegas with no worries whatsoever.
He he wanted a safe bet/sold out stadium he would fight in the uk.

terrible fight to compare when there are so many criteria s to this fight.

maybe wilder/fury/whyte shouldnt duck joshua for much less money then they will get for fighting each other. add that criteria in with your agenda

I get your frustration, even if I don't share it. For me, I enjoy talking about boxing both as sport and business, because I think it's all but impossible to speak intelligently about one without understanding and acknowledging the other.

I find the interaction between the business of boxing and the action within the ring fascinating, enjoy discussing them with others and to me it wouldn't make sense to divide one from the other, but if there's a need, you could do so by creating a sub forum for any discussions around the commercial side of the sport? Then you just move discussions like this one and leave the main forum free to focus on the sport in its purest form?
