Not sure if my memory fails me but I have yet to see Michael buffer announce a fight since before the first lockdown. Had just about enough of rat face (sky), voldemort (C5) and hornswoggle (BT) announcing the fights. Especially with that **** show last night with virtual Buffer announcing then rat face had to step in and do it all again. So what has happened to buffer, hope hes not ill
he did the Mike Tyson v Roy Jones fight a couple of weeks ago but you’re right, he is shielding, he’s 76 & doesn’t want to be be flying around, quarantining for weeks on end. He did a “virtual” announcement at the Canelo v Smith fight last night, it went well until after let’s get ready to rumble. They lost the sound in the arena, although we could hear the introductions at home. They had to get Diamante in to intro the boxers. Buffer has stated on Twitter that he can’t wait to return for the big fights
Saw loads of people remarking about why they had 2 announcers, it was obvious they intended for Buffers fighter intros to be broadcast over the PA for the fans as well as the TV audience, something just went wrong.
