What is it about British boxing broadcasters that makes them so weird. Adam Smith is ****ing weird and I don’t need to go into detail about him.

But Dempsey is basically standing spooning Bob Arum there, whispering in his ear and saying bizarre things. “Who am I to question your career?” and then pausing for a good five seconds while bent over Arum’s shoulder almost cheek-to-cheek. You can tell Arum was freaked out.

Anyway that was boring as hell from Conlan. I always thought Adam Booth trained his fighters to be electrifying and explosive like Haye was. Both Burnett and Conlan and even Edwards when he was under Booth are just totally box-safe fighters. Sure they’ll end up leaving the sport with their health intact boxing like that but it’s boring and there’s no chance Conlan is going to be big in the states because he’s not charismatic and handsome like Fury.

Also that punch to the back followed by a hard punch to the back of the head was a disgrace. Ridiculously cowardly ref, should have deducted two points, one for that and one for the second low blow.

Dempsey is a irritating bastad and I am finding booth fighters hard to watch, David Haye was exciting because he could punch where as the current booth fighters couldn't crack an egg between them.

Booth has a very odd stable right now, some really diverse styles in there: Kelly, Burnett and Conlan, Joyce.

 

Joyce doesn't look like a booth fighter, it will interesting to see how that goes.

 

I bet Booth is frustrated as hell with him, probably spends a whole training camp telling him what to do and then as soon as the bell goes the big lummox just does what he always does. You could see in the Jennings fight a bit of Kelly rubbing off on big Joe because he was showboating a little and looked ridiculous doing so.
