He was seconds away from giving him the Guerfi treatment. Poor Mick's brains have already been hard scrambled twice, a soft scrambling might be all he can take at this point. So yeah, Foster is as reprehensible a creature as they come, but like a broken clock, I thought he was right with that particular call.

Dropped, wobbled a few other times and stopped.

And no 'ref' will be there as he walks out that venue to stop it.

Just keep your eyes peeled for a thread in the lounge anytime soon, titled ' Howard Foster RIP'

Found dismembered ( and his wallet missing,) encased in several different concrete blocks.

Damn, Conlan had potential but I think he's a shot fighter now.

I don't think it was a bad stoppage as in it would've changed the result of the fight. That wasn't going to happen partly for the reasons you explained and partly because Conlan doesn't possess that savage British power. But I just don't think it was the right time to wave it off, especially given all the brutal wars we've seen in recent years in the division below involving fighters from these majestic lands.

Foster has a history of this kind of thing and we were robbed of a potential classic not too long ago with Wood vs Warrington and it's happening too often and leaving me feel shortchanged. Again, I don't think Conlan was going to mount a comeback and win the fight but at least let him hit the canvas or look out on his feet before you wave it off.

Fair enough. Maybe let him hit the canvass, although that's probably what the ref was thinking in Gvozdyk-Stevenson. But I'll happily agree, Foster is a sweaty fat crooked pig and a vomitus piece of trash.

    Conlan’s punch resistance has gone

Every time he got clipped by Gill, there was a reaction… numerous times his legs were stiffened throughout the fight.

At first viewing I thought the stoppage may have been early but upon seeing the replays, I thought Foster was spot on.

His legs stiffened, he went backwards towards the corner then his head was down as he was shipping a lot of shots he looked done and neither Conlan or anyone in his team complained at the decision.

Great win on away soil for Jordan Gill and after hearing what he’s been through in the past year, I’m really pleased for him. I hope he kicks on from this now.

Like you, I don't even like Conlan and I like and was rooting for Gill albeit I did lose some respect for him when he chopped off his Yorkshire Ripper fro. But this is happening too often of late. There's been at least three times if not more in the last few months where I'm like did the ref really just wave that off? Wood vs Warrington. Pereira vs Jiri in MMA. And now tonight too so even though I don't want to see anyone get hurt it's just left a bad taste in my mouth.

    Agreed
